Broccoli and Cauliflower Casserole
1 head broccoli broken into florets
1 head cauliflower broken into florets
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
2 tsp fresh thyme
2 tsp lemon zest grated
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp butter melted
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Rinse broccoli and cauliflower, then place the wet vegetables in a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake for 40 minutes or until slightly tender.
3. Combine bread crumbs, parsley, thyme, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and melted butter and sprinkle the topping over the vegetables. Bake for 5 minutes or until the bread crumbs are brown and crisp and the vegetables are tender.
