Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich
1/4 cup gruyere cheese shredded (you can also substitute with swiss cheese)
1/4 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese shredded
2 tsp low-fat cream cheese
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp fresh rosemary chopped
3 oz extra lean deli ham sliced
4 slice reduced-calorie whole wheat bread
1. In a small bowl, combine swiss or gruyere and mozzarella cheeses. In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, dijon mustard, and rosemary.
2. Spread each slice of bread with cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle 2 slices with 2 tablespoons shredded cheese mixture, place 1 1/2 ounces ham on top of the cheese, and sprinkle with another 2 tablespoons shredded cheese.
3. Place remaining bread slices spread side down over the top.
4. Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 3 to 5 minutes per side or until the cheese is melted.
